Your personal trainer
Roel Van Heuckelom
I have been playing badminton myself since I was 6 years old and have been through all the national youth series. Currently, I still play myself, although training is no longer an option. And this because of the many hours I spend as a trainer to help my players further in their development.
I am the head coach of a Dutch club, I co-founded the local badminton school and I am the head coach of Rijckerack. Here, I will not only take care of the youth and seniors, but for the first time in Belgium, we will also start an internal trainer-training project to further train the many in-house trainers within the club.
My speciality lies in making players better technically and tactically. Not that you won't give up, because any technical and tactical training soon involves the appropriate running lines on a pitch. So physical training you will always have anyway. Optimise your technique and tactical understanding by looking at and analysing in detail your style of play and current technical skills. And from what we then observe, training is systematically built up.
